Located along the shorelines of Lake Monroe and the St. Johns River in southwest Volusia County, Florida, about 4 miles east of Sanford and one mile south of Osteen.
From Interstate-95 exit 81, go west on State Road 46 for 24 miles. Turn right onto State Road 415 and go north for about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Reed Ellis Road. Drive for about 1.7 miles. Entrance will be on the left.
There are approximately 4.5 miles of marked hiking trails. A 1.46 mile loop trail (blazed white) starts at the parking lot and takes you through some of the prettiest sections of Kratzert.
